Miles from Corruption is a graphic novel that illustrates the potential dangers of children’s digital footprints if left unchecked and encourages self-responsibility over their private information offline and online.
THE IDEA BEHIND THE PROJECT
As mass amounts of data (digital footprints) regarding children and teenagers (Generation Z) were harvested every single day by various companies and organisations, this could endanger their lives if such data lands in the wrong hands, especially with the rise of cyber crimes such as data breaches, pedophilia and identity theft/fraud.
MEET THE CHARACTERS
The narrative takes place in a distant future where an unknown digital-borne virus spreads. A naive and optimistic boy - Miles goes on an adventure with a new friend Mr. Bear to find and safeguard his “treasure” that contains his personal information from the corruption of the virus.
